Building Bridges & Making Connections: Together we Make It Great

For us, just as for the students we serve, diversity in Washington higher education provides many challenging opportunities. This conference explores ways of engaging the resources of our institutions so that all of us can enjoy success in our daily work and careers.

Conference Mission

  • To create networks for ongoing dialogue on issues impacting professional and career opportunities in all sectors of higher education.
  • To develop greater awareness and visibility of policies and plans established to enhance the institutional climate, access, and educational quality in higher education in Washington.
  • To increase our capacity as employers in higher education to inspire, model, and lead in the effort to combat racism, promote ethnic and racial diversity, and achieve excellence in higher education.

This conference offers a wealth of resources, contacts, and support for faculty, administrators, professional and classified staff, and other employees. Participants will have opportunities to discuss issues and share strategies that promote career opportunities and advancement. The issues we address in this conference are central to the future of higher education in Washington and our campus communities. We invite you to use the conference as a resource for learning about meaningful ways to define the vital ties between diversity and higher education in Washington.
