As a part-time instructor in the community and technical colleges, you may be eligible for unemployment benefits between teaching periods. A state task force report on the “2005 Best Employment Practices for Part-time Faculty Taskforce Report and Recommendations," makes several recommendations to improve salary and employment practices for part-time faculty at public community and technical colleges. Seventy-five percent (75%) of faculty in our colleges are part-time faculty.
