AFT Washington is a state federation affiliated with the American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO. We represent about 4,500 members including faculty from community and technical colleges and pre-K through 12 classified employees.

The officers of AFT Washington shall be a president, a secretary, a treasurer, three (3) at-large vice presidents, a vice president for the committee on political education (COPE), a vice president for legal defense, and a vice president for each council. No person may hold more than one office. |
AFT Washington has a staff that provides locals with lobbying, labor relations, communications, and financial services. |

The Paraprofessional and School-Related Personnel (PSRP) division of the American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO, represents more than 350,000 school support staff in K-12 districts, colleges and universities. Our jobs include office employees, custodians, maintenance workers, bus drivers, instructional paraprofessionals, food service workers, school nurses and health aides, technicians, groundskeepers, secretaries, bookkeepers, mechanics, special education assistants and hundreds of other job titles. |
AFT is the largest higher education union in the country, representing over 130,000 higher education faculty, professional staff and graduate employees.
