2009 Budget Crisis

1)    Summary of Bills.doc: contains an annotated list of bills that passed and will affect community and technical colleges

2)    Budget language 2009.doc: contains a description of the percentage of cuts that will be taken and excerpts of the actual language from the budget bill to help you be fully informed.

3)    Budget crisis contract tips.doc: contains suggestions for what you should consider if admin approaches you about furloughs, early retirement, or leaves without pay.

4)    RIF QA final.doc: contains information about the kind of RIFs that will occur if the SBCTC declares a “financial emergency” under RCW 28B.50.873 after the governor signs the budget bill. Does not apply to RIFs done using your contract procedures.

5)    CTC approps history.doc: a brief chart of the funding levels since 2005.

6)    News release budget.doc: our opinion of how bad it was.
