Constitution, By Laws, & Mission

Most current AFT Seattle Constitution and By-Laws

Every Executive Board Member pledges to:

"...honestly and faithfully fulfill the arduous tasks that will be before me.
Tto perform these functions within the framework of the constitutions of the SCCFT, the AFT WA, and the AFT.  To be ever mindful of the high precepts and principles of the American Labor Movement.
To be at all times militant in the defense of teachers and other workers so that all will always know that the AFT symbolizes the power of strength to give them courage in their job and in the performance of their duties.
Most of all, however, to have the courage to stand for that which is right, for high principles in education, for high principles in morality and honesty, so that every person in the U.S. will have the opportunity of an adequate education."
