New Candidate Endorsement Process
Print E-mail

As part of an ongoing evaluation, the labor community -- including AFT Washington -- has revised its candidate endorsement process through its COPE program. Our goal is to ensure that we are endorsing candidates for office who strongly support education and working-family issues. To that end, we have developed an endorsement matrix through which to rate candidates. One part is for incumbents who are running for their position again and the other is for challengers. As important, this process will show candidates that we are watching!

You can download the draft endorsement matrixes further below under Resources.

Please contact Richard Burton, AFT Washington Political Organizer, at rburton@aftwa.org or 206-225-0621 if you have questions.
