This year's Contingent Faculty Issues Conference brought together contingent faculty members, community members, and staff to explore issues impacting contingent faculty and opportunities and ideas to address these issues.
Workshops were held on:
- Regional Cohorts, Coordinated Bargaining, and Moving Toward Our Own Sort of "Metro Model which was facilitated by Colene White (Everett Community College) and Mark Pierce (Pierce College).
- Unemployment Insurance, led by Elke Dinter (Everett Community College) and Mike Boggess (Pierce College and VP of Contingent Faculty Issues)
- Power Mapping, Building Community and Student Allies facilitated by Carlos Adams (Pierce College), Peter Hasegawa (Martin Luther King County Labor Council), and Victoria Pacho (student activist at Green River College).
- Advances at the Local Level facilitated by Antonia Bennie-George (Green River College) and Tobi Rosenberg (Bellevue College).
